*The coconut is indispensable for one of Venezuela’s most popular drinks: the cocada. This wonderfully refreshing drink originally comes from the Isla de Margarita and is made by mixing fresh coconut flesh, coconut water, ice and sugar to taste. Everything is mixed together in a blender until a slushy consistency is achieved. You can add a pinch of cinnamon and/or a dash of white rum.
